With the arrival of Swami Vishwananda in my life, I feel the love of God more and more in my heart. God’s love is an eternal flame that may grow every day until it envelops everything. The most important thing I have learned from Swami Vishwananda is to love. Love is the most beautiful thing that exists.
To you, dear reader, I would like to say, “Give love to your children, to your parents, to your wife, to your husband, to your friend, to whomever you want. How nice it is to love!” Swami teaches us to love everyone unconditionally, all the time. In the end you always give love to God, for he is in every thing and every being. He is also the source of love. Love does not judge, love is patient, love is forever. When you love, God resides in you and you reside in God.
At the end of your day, as at the end of your life, when you view all the good deeds you have done on Earth, the times you have loved will shine like precious jewels!

Love beyond words
ReplyDeleteIn 2005, I went to Europe to spend time with Swami Vishwananda. In a retreat in Flüeli, Switzerland, he said, “God is Love.” I had heard that before but I had never experienced it. The next day I spoke with Swamiji and he told me that truly God is love, and not some white light in the corner. God isn’t a mystical experience that we can’t understand. It’s that simple. Everyone has loved — parents, girlfriend, boyfriend, or dog. The love that we feel inside us and then extend is truly God, because God is Love. It is difficult or impossible to talk about or describe that love. I know about it and have the capacity to share love. “Go out in the world and share and spread love. Love is free, so give it away.”
After visiting Swamiji several times, I began to understand that he was my guru, my connection to the inner spiritual world, and my best friend. To me it is simply described by the phrase Love beyond Words. The love that connects Swami Vishwananda and me cannot be described.
The many miracles that occur around Swamiji seem so natural to me, even though I can’t understand them with my mind. But more importantly, he has taught me that circumstances in the outer world do not have to control the inner world and that I have to be responsible in my life. Swamiji said that when something isn’t going the way I’d like it, or there is some difficulty, to remind myself that everything is God and that God is everywhere.
Since meeting Swami Vishwananda, I have a deeper understanding of my purpose in life, and that is to serve him in his world mission.
I know that the love that is God isn’t just for a few of us to realize, but that we all have it inside of us. By the grace of God and Swami Vishwananda, I am allowed to participate and serve.
